Ballard Farmer’s Market Still Open

Pumpkin Butter by Wesa via our group pool [#]

While the snow has started falling again from Des Moines to Everett, as documented by the Seattle Twitter Storm Team, one of the more interesting tidbits is that the Ballard Farmer’s Market is open for business, and about 1/3 of the vendors are there. (#). Sadly, I don’t think Wesa’s pumpkin butter is among the goodies being sold.

What other businesses and markets are open despite the snowstorm?

I wonder if I made enough next year and found a booth there, if it would sell at all? Great little stocking stuffer! Flattered that you used the pic too.

It *would* be a great stocking stuffer :D I bet people would totally buy it, too. You should try, sometime! :D It’s the perfect kind of thing to buy in this kind of weather!

Next year then…I’ll see if I can’t get a booth for one day (if that’s possible) to sell pumpkin butter, huckleberry jam/syrup (if the berries come in next year), and other yummy stuff. Or maybe I’ll just skip the booth and sell it via the Internets.

maybe try etsy? there are people who sell homemade food (cookies, jams, bread, cupcakes, etc). i’d bet that you’d do really well during the holidays and the regular year!

That’s a great idea! I bet with a bit of extra research too, I can find some local Seattlites from Etsy to promote as well in a post of it’s own.
