Weekend Kid Picks: 9/20 – 9/21

We’ve already told you about the opening of the Pacific Connections garden at the Arboretum and the Oktoberfest in Fremont (which has plenty for kids, including a root beer garden, live music, carnival rides, and a pumking carving contest.) Other goings-on this weekend include:

Baby Loves Disco

The always popular, Baby Loves Disco, is back from summer break. Enjoy dancing, snacks, bubbles and even a chill-out area for those overtaxed toddlers (or maybe their parents).

9/20, 1-4pm at Club Heaven

Piper Orchard Harvest Festival at Carkeek Park

Taste heirloom apples, make apple cider, and learn about the history of Seattle’s oldest living orchard. Enjoy live music and kids crafts and games at the “kids korner.”

9/20, 11am – 2:30pm, Lower meadow at Carkeek Park

Go back in time at Fraser Cabin

Learn what it was like for the settlers in this 1880 log cabin once lived in by the Fraser family. Participate in hands-on activities led by members of the Eastside Heritage Center. While you’re there, stop by Kelsey Creek Farm to visit the chickens, pigs and ponies.

9/20, 11am-3pm at Kelsey Creek Park in Bellevue
