Pumpkin Pie Martini

2 parts Absolut Vanilla vodka
1 part Pumpkin Schnapps
Splash of cream
Sprinkle with nutmeg

Shake all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with nutmeg and a cherry.


Pumpkin Ravioli with Sage and Toasted Hazelnuts

I’ve had pumpkin ravioli before at Serafina in Eastlake, and it was DI-vine! This recipe calls for pre-made pumpkin ravioli, which you should be able to find at Whole Foods or another specialty market since this is Seattle and we have a ridiculous amount of them!


Now that we’re one week (ONE WEEK!) away from Halloween, it’s just the right time to carve pumpkins without the fear of their black creepy, squishy mold invading your house. Get some friends together (or your significant other), spread some newspaper out and hack away. There’s nothing like squishing your hands and fingers in piles and piles of pumpkin goo…and then toasting the seeds afterwards!
