Woodland Park Zoo Carousel

The Woodland Park Zoo finally opened their historic carousel to the public. It’ll cost you a dollar to hop on one of those colorfully enameled antique horses but how can you put a price tag on pure unbridled joy?

The Zoo has a program where you can adopt any of the horses to help support their carousel pavilion project so kids of all ages can sit on a horse with a pole through it, all year long. For now you will have to content yourself with rides until October when the carousel closes to start on phase two of construction.

As of this writing there are still two horses which can be adopted individually (instead of communally adopted) and for a mere $30,000 you and your family can be immortalized on a classic carnie ride forever!
