Captain Kidd and his crew storm the shores of Alki Beach this Saturday the 8th at noon from their mighty ship the Duck. The first 500 kids at the landing get a free toy pirate kit and a Weinhard’s Soda, not to mention a chance to be scared out of their wits by cannons and the rowdiest pirate crew on the seven seas.

There will be a pirate look-a-like contest with prizes for the little lan’ lubbers and a chance to win the Official Game of the 2006 Seafair Pirates, Dread Pirate by Front Porch Classics.

From 11 am to 5 pm the local band Shelley and the Curves will be playing on the Car Toys Shockwave stage for some dancing and booty shakin’ fun. (BOOTY HAHA!).

Merchants of all kinds set up at 9:30 am to offer food, drinks and the finest in Seafair 2006 wares. Finally AM 1090 will be handing out bumper stickers and from what I can tell they’ll be pirate themed. Aye a vast horde o’ treasure and fun to be had, if’n ye can handle the noise and buffoonery!
