Oracle oracle on the wall…
Alright Seattle, I am opening up ideas for where to go for my graduation dinner to you at large. My requirements are the following:
– able to feed 2 vegetarians and 6 omnivores, 2 of whom are picky eaters
– not strongly ethnic (one of those picky eaters very much prefers simpleness, like steak and not so much with the pad thai)
– less than $20 per person (for the budget of the person paying, eek!)
– accesible parking
Since we have cars, we can go just about anywhere in the greater Seattle area. Just…send me somewhere nice, eh? I even promise pictures and a review after! How often do you, dear reader, get to direct a Metblog author’s subject?
The venerable Buca di Beppo is always an option (if you can’t get in there, try the one in Lynnwood).
I’d go to the brand new Hot Dish in Ravenna. It’s a comfort food place, very mellow and pleasant. Parking around there is easy.
Their dinner entrees include two vegan dishes and an ovo-lacto vegetarian dish. I can vouch for the deliciousness of their macaroni and cheese, not to mention their strawberry tarts. My husband liked the chicken and dumplings.
Serafina looks really cute and cozy (haven’t been yet – but it’s on the top of my list to try). All of the reviews look scrumptious, too.
When in doubt – hit the pasta! :) Congratulations on your graduation!
P.S. Free Parking
Atlas Foods in the U-Village is good for big groups.
Bick’s in Broadview (105th and Greenwood) is a great spot…lots of parking (residential at least), not too expensive, great food and specials, wonderful service everytime i’m in there, and good drinks!
