The storm that just rolled through West Seattle was crazy. I got stuck just watching it for 30 minutes.

Sometimes visiting a tourist destination when they are not there can be pretty nice!

It is going to be warm for the next couple of days, should be good swimming weather. If you are out there and happen to take a few shots of summer and people and swimming and FUN, share them in our group pool!

I know, I know. You are probably all just sick to death of Blue Angels pictures by now. Not to mention the events have been over for 3 days. I just had to share this shot I got from the small park just north of Boeing Field on Sunday. I had no idea they took off together and in formation. The first 4 came streaking over us like this, with the other two a few seconds behind them. They were so close, it felt like the sound alone could knock you down.

Last night was the Seattle Metblogs monthly meetup. This month we were at Six Arms in Capitol Hill. We had a huge turnout this month and were only missing 3 active authors from the site. We also met a few new friends and a potential new author (Hi JP!).

We had lots of tasty food, my favorite being the tots! We also apparently drank them out of their IPA and Wheat brews.

The shot above was just about the best one I could get in the dark upper section of the place. Initially a shot to show just how wide the fisheye is, I think it captures the meetup pretty well.

Don’t forget, our birthday party is coming up next month on the 14th. More details will be coming soon, so keep an eye out for that!

I have to say, I am pretty happy with the summer in Seattle so far this year. We have had some nice days (finally!) and it hasn’t been crazy hot. Sunny and just under 80 is pretty much perfect for me.

I shot this on one of those really clear, perfect days.

In case you missed it, this shot perfectly captures what went down at the parking lot behind Archie McPhee’s on Sunday. I took this picture this morning at the Race For The Cure that Erin was running. As I was watching the last of the first wave start the race, I realized that I was about 15 feet away from Jean Enersen interviewing Christine Gregoire live on TV. Fun!
