bumbercheap : presale window open (again)

While everyone is still trying to decide how dissappointed a pose to affect regarding this year’s Bumbershoot work-in-progress line-up, there is still plenty to be happy about (Metric! ATMOSPHERE! Feist! Rogue Wave! Jose Gonzales! Flatstock! OneReel! et c.). Being thrilled with the slate of performers is much, much easier when you’re getting the tickets on the cheap. Once the festival rolls around — Saturday, 2 September — getting through the gates will cost you $30/day or $80/weekend. This seems like a lot, even to someone who’s defended the increasing ticket prices over the years.

However, right now the site is in pre-sale mode [#] and a limited number of deeply discount passes are available: $18/day or $50 for the whole festival. You’ll need a top secret code to get in there, which they claim you can get by joining the BumberFanClub. There’s also a HINT in this post. Later, buying in advance will still save you a few bucks, but if you know you’re going for part of the extravaganza, you might as well drop the money now.
