quarter scandal! salmon strikes back?

Just when you thought you’d seen the last of this much-recycled state quarter image, the saga gets more complicated. Over the weekend, conservablogger Stefan Sharkansky discovered that the wholesome activity of internet voting had been tainted by an army of overly enthusiastic voting robots [p-i]. And not just any robots, robots who love their Native American imagery playful orca imagery.

Once the automated voting scandal was discovered, the votes were cleared from the system, security adjustments were made, and the polls are back open. If you cast a vote last week, go back and try again: there’s still time to save our quarter from generic icons!
Vote at governor.wa.gov/quarter.
Unlike the previous poll, you won’t be able to see the current results after you vote. Perhaps this will help to convince people of keeping a paper trail for electronic voting systems?
