Needle views
Ok, so I know that I’m probably the last one in the city to figure this out, but…did you know that the webcam on the Space Needle is both move-able and zoom-able?
Actually, I guess it’s probably a whole series of webcams all the way around the Needle, and at least two of them currently appear to be pointing at a wall. But the website also gives you a chance to point yourself toward certain landmarks without having to go to the trouble of finding them on your own–and if there’s nothing interesting going on, why, you can just look at a different day’s view.
I love the Space Needle, but it is a little expensive to visit, not to mention the fact that it’s cold and rainy out these days. So why go outside to check out the view when you can do it from your own desk?
Tomorrow, of course, I plan to see if I can find my apartment from the webcams like I can from the viewfinders on the observation deck.
