It seems like only yesterday that that the guys from Harvey Danger were re-uniting. In fact, it’s been more than a year and the since the onetime [Ed: sometime?] flagpole sitt[ers] reformed and started playing shows. Since then they’ve been working on a third album called Little By Little, which will be released on 13 September along with a bonus disc of B-sides and outtakes.
This development, in and of itself, is probably exciting enough for fans of the Seattle-based indie pop trio. However, fans of legitimate uses of filesharing technology might also be interested to read that they band plans to seed the whole album onto the internet through Bittorrent a week after the release [jeffjlin]. Seven peer-to-peer distribution days later, the album will be available on their website, harveydanger.com.
Anyway, it’s a kind of cool experiment. I’ll be interested to see how well it works.
