The English Surgeon is opening at the Northwest Film Forum June 19. It's a documentary following the Humanitarian efforts of a prominent English neurosurgeon, Henry Marsh. Watching Marsh travel to the Ukraine and help those in need makes for a truly eye opening film. It is full of so many emotions and it will keep you thinking for a long time. It gives great insight into the moral dilemmas doctors face on a daily basis. It is definitely a must see. Check it out

Funny enough, I didn't think Hansel and Gretel was all that.

It was close. Very, very close, but.. well...

Here's my take. It felt like a patchwork of genres. Messed up childhood, horror, supernatural. Sort of like Happyness of the Katakuris, but, HotK had this... thread of quirk running through it that held it all together, something this movie lacked.

Its worth a see, I just didn't think it was the best ever. Dark Water was better when it came to horror.
