		<description>I can see if I used my immersion blender for something, that would be pushing it...unless it was something that could be blended in a blender instead.  We don&#039;t really use rare devices (though we have a fondue pot, but that was a wedding gift), and the bulk of the devices that we do have were actually gifts from parents.</description>

		<description>I agree with your position on appliances. I mean, if you had to go out and buy a new appliance for the challenge, that wouldn&#039;t be all that legitimate. Or if you needed something that was so rare that on one would have it (though off the top of my head, I can&#039;t think of what that would be). But even if you didn&#039;t have a pasta maker, you can still make homemade pasta. It wouldn&#039;t be as pretty, or possibly as thin, but it&#039;d still work.</description>
