They're events held for good causes at different times of the year. There are several dozens, maybe even hundreds (it sure seems like it, anyway), of fundraising races and walks in the Seattle area. Are they are "ripping off" each other? Is it "a shame" that there are multiple groups trying to race money to fight more than one disease? I'm not affiliated with either group myself, but I know a pointlessly petty comment when I see one.
