B.C. Watch–Another foot

It’s been a while since feet started creepily washing up on the shores of British Columbia’s south coast, but they don’t look to be stopping any time soon–yesterday a foot in a New Balance shoe showed up in the Fraser River [PI]. In May a woman’s right foot turned up also wearing a New Balance shoe, so maybe there’s a match? So far there’s only been one match between feet, and DNA testing has confirmed the identity of one of the other feet. The rest are still a mystery.

“Authorities say it appears that all of the feet separated naturally from bodies as they decomposed in the water.” That itself is a little bit comforting–it looks like there’s no crazed foot-severing maniac running around B.C., tossing feet into the water.

To be honest, I find the idea of the feet separating naturally and floating off into the water for reasons unknown more terrifying than the thought of a foot chopping maniac.

Man, this story just gets weirder and weirder. It makes you wonder if it was happening for many years before this and the media just hadn’t noticed until now, or if it’s really a new problem. Icko.
