		<description>I believe people have learned since the dot com bust to have patience and test the waters more before investing in a start-up.  If there is a backlash on startups due to a failing economy, it couldn&#039;t be worse than the decline of dot com businesses 6-8 or so years ago.  As with any new business, many of them won&#039;t survive the first year.  During times like these, that number will increase slightly, but I still think Seattle (and the tech industry in general) will be cushioned from catastrophe.  

I am not a student of economics and I tend to overestimate the positive side of things.</description>
