Reminiscing About When it Was 80 Degrees and Sunny in September

It was such a lovely day and I ducked into Union [1] to take advantage of their bar menu, which is still one of the best deals in town. The ingredients are pristine and the execution is flawless. For $24 you can have three dishes, which is just silly. And on a warm, sunny day I had a beautiful heirloom tomato and corn soup which went perfectly with a glass of Loimer Gruner Veltliner. I would have stayed longer, ate and drank more, but I had to go play Whirlyball [2]. (Seriously.)
