I wonder if the bar downstairs would start selling you bottles of liquor. Probably illegal, huh.

Though maximally interested in Fun, I am only minimally interested in Archie McPhee's. I live within spitting distance of the liquor store (literally, I can spit from my kitchen window /onto/ the liquor store, if I take a deep breath first), and I can definitely say that having liquor next door facilitates Fun in a way that no amount of kitchy rubber duckies will be able to.

Plus, a liquor store next door provides a convenient canary-in-a-coalmine for one's drinking. If you're home alone and find yourself running around the corner in your socks before they close, you know you're toeing some sort of line. Now all I've got to red-flag me when I'm at the brink is, ah, the bar downstairs...

To the departure of Fun (and the arrival of slightly-less-Fun)!

Well, considering the Archie Annex building across the parking lot from their Ballard site also used to be a Liquor Store, I'd say this relocation is perfectly appropriate. I'm just thrilled they're going to be a mere six blocks from my office now!

Hmm. Is the Liquor Store really moving out? Where will Wallingforders get their booze?
