St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Montlake has been hosting their annual Greek Festival [1] for 45 years now, and this weekend, you can join them in celebrating with some homemade souvlaki, gyros and baklava [2].
The festival will also include Greek folk dancing and music [3], a Greek deli, and tours of the church and its religious artifacts. There is free parking available in the area, and a shuttle bus from both Northgate and Kirkland. Proceeds from the festival will benefit youth camps for children with cancer, a feed the homeless program and Boyer Children’s Clinic [4].
