This weekend, the New York Times Magazine discovered all the joy and sorrow of digital ubiquity [nyt], viewed primarily through the lens of the Facebook newsfeed and the twittiverse. Thanks to Big Blogger and tweetaholic Mónica Guzmán [#], we learn that, in addition to keeping a weblog, King County Exec Ron Sims is also hooked on the 140 character train.

On his twitter feed [#], you’ll find newsy updates, commentary on bad officiating, and the occasional I SAW U:

You’ll also find a simple explanation of why he does it: “I enjoy it“. As far as twitter users go, his ranks on the informative and engaging side. Any other government officials you’d like to have filling your twitter feeds?

    Freemont is across the canal from Queen Ann, and definitely nowhere near Capital Hill
