What’s In Seattle’s Queue?
While you are dealing with Netflix shipping delays, you can entertain yourself with a fascinating feature on their website under the Friends & Community tab to see what titles people in and around Seattle are renting much more than the rest of the nation. (Sidebar: I love the verbiage on the apology Nexflix gives for shipping delays: “We pride ourselves in delighting you, and we’ve let you down.” I think that’s my new “It’s not you, it’s me.”)
So what are the first eight titles that come up? Take a look:
1. Police Beat
2. 10 MPH
3. Hype
4. Dog Whisperer With Cesar Milan: Season Two
5. Trailer Park Boys: Seasons One and Two
6. Singles
7. Things You Can Tell Just By Looking at Her
8. The Last Detail
Seattle clearly loves its grunge nostalgia (#3 and #6), its mockumentaries and documentaries (#5 and #2), something with connections to The Stranger (#1), dysfunctional dog/owner relationships (#4), and movies that were playing at NWFF recently that they meant to see but spaced (#8).
While you are at it you can check out everything from Bellevue (The Godfather Part II #2, Sex and the City #9) to Auburn’s bizarre #2-4 run of Fiddler on the Roof, Hostel: Part II, and Caddyshack.
Anyway, I’m off to Auburn for a triple feature of Tevye, torture porn, and Ted Knight.

I wonder if I am the only person in Seattle that currently has The Muppet Show: Season 1; although I’m fascinated to see that one of my other current rentals is #10 on the list– Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations: Collection 2. Thanks for pointing out that feature!
Seattle’s gourmets have a giant crush/lust for Bourdain.
