Shannon's insights and superb interviews were the only reason that I would listen to the radio pregame show, which is generally just a recycle of tired baseball cliches from the rest of the team. (She's as good, or better at interviewing both active and "legendary" ballplayers than the esteemed Mr. Niehaus.) I know that I will be sending an email to KIRO Radio, urging that they bring Shannon on board immediately, as having her do Mariner's reports and outstanding blog on 710 KIRO during the rest of 2008 will be a great way to jumpstart the buzz for next season.
