Seattle Ranks #6 "Most Walkable City"

Walk Score has ranked Seattle #6 (behind San Fran, NYC, Boston, Chicago, and Philly) in the nation, with an average neighborhood score of 72. Metblogs touched on this last year, before the nationwide mortgage slowdown really hit. The City Council and Mayor Nickels have been pushing for urban development in the city center, which will ultimately drive up the walk score in many neighborhoods.
