Pride Week begins this weekend with a brand new expo, the It’s About Life Seattle Expo. This unique expo revolves around political themes particularly relevant to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender audiences.

It’s About Life features several political speakers including Washington state governor Chris Gregoire and Washington State Speaker of the House Frank Chopp; expert talks on subjects like “Your Domestic Partnership Rights in Washington State” and “Living with and Understanding AIDS”; readings, live music, bingo and other entertainment. Endorsed by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the expo features nearly 200 exhibitors representing retail shops, personal services, entertainment venues and organizations, restaurants, non-profits and public services.

The Expo kicks off Friday night with Gay Bingo and runs all weekend.
