Most of us Metbloggers are geeks in one form or another. We tend to like things that appeal to our individual geekeries.

So what would happen if you could get all the web-related geekeries together into one weekend of geekgasm? You’d get a BarCamp [1], a big social gathering of techies, social media types, bloggers, coders, and Internet Celebrities to throw ideas at one another. It’s like MindCamp, only the people are a little prettier and dilletantish. But the presentations are fun, and you get to meet really smart people that do cool things.

Seattle’s first BarCamp [2] is this weekend, June 14-15 at the Fremont Adobe campus. A sizable cadre of Metbloggers will be showing up. Why don’t you come, too? It is free, after all, with free food and swag (and a free round at the Red Door Saturday night). Register now [3].
