A bust in Seattle strip clubs?

This just in: The Seattle Times is reporting that police and federal agents have raided strip clubs in Seattle, quoting FBI spokesperson Robbie Burrough as saying that warrants were served at multiple locations, including Sugar’s in Shoreline.

No, this isn’t yet another SPD officers get a table dance on the taxpayer’s dime sweep; the Feds are on the lookout for evidence of organized crime. They’ll be holding a press conference at 1 pm today to talk about temporary restraining orders filed against various locations “under the control of an alleged criminal organization” and other details.

Are Seattle’s strip clubs under the influence of organized crime? I’ll be looking forward to following this story as it unfolds–I don’t know if we’ve got our own version of The Sopranos here or not (would that make Sugar’s the local Bada Bing?) but I can tell you that I am 40 years old and I’ve been hearing rumors that they ever since I was a little kid back in the 70s who didn’t entirely understand what a strip club was.

I am pretty sure Rick’s is owned by the same group. There’s been stuff in the papers about the owner. Not gonna say too much cause I like a bed without a horse head in it. But if you make a search for Rick’s owner you might find some Bada Bing.

Of course it’s owned by organized crime. The Feds must be on the tax fraud trail, it’s the only way they can crack that nut.
