Another copyright infringement case is currently being fought between the Rat City Rollergirls and Starbucks over the use of similar logos. Which will win? (Via Seattle PI)

    sbux deserves to be diluted. don’t they have some sort of monastery in italy to sue over their xmas-themed coffee roast? yay, asshats!

    Funny thing, I never noticed the similarity between the two logos until this lawsuit came to light.

    Based on the age of the Rollergirls logo, I’ll give them a slight edge and chalk this up to the standard ‘We have to try to protect our logo’ thing.

    I understand Starbucks right and need to protect their copyrights and trademarks, but there’s a time and a place for everything and a big huge corporation going after a tiny organization that in no way, shape, or form competes with them just seems like a silly waste of time and money that in the end makes Starbucks look like a bunch of bullying thugs.

    Like Erin above, I never noticed the similarity until now. I don’t think the average person would.
