What did you do this weekend?

Friday

-Left the job early so the boyfriend and I could lay around Kerry Park staring at the sky.

-We found the tiniest rainbow in the sky.

-We wondered, in a city with so much rain, why don’t we see more rainbows?

Saturday

-Put sunscreen on.

-Walked to the Sculpture Park. Found a new installment that I actually like. Big cones!

-The only other sculpture I like there is the one where the sun makes all those lovely colors.

-Continued walking to the Seattle Cheese Fest! Probably the best festival of the year for me. Free cheese, cheap cheese and just plain delicious, holy shit, i love you so much cheese.

-Bought an apple at my usual Pike Place stand.

-Got a smoothie at my favorite smoothie place in all of Seattle. Shy Giant Yogurt. I never get the same thing there. I always tell the lady to just make me something she likes to make and make sure it’s non-fat. I’ve never had a bad one. Ever. It is very much worth the $5 I spend and makes for a great lunch (with the apple and all that cheese).

-Found Rigala Ginger Beer at the market right next to Starbucks! This was a great surprise, as the boyfriend has been going to El Diablo to get this special not-Reeds ginger beer. Rigala is way better and you should have some right now.

-Laid around that park (I always forget the name? Pike Place Park??). Bummed sunscreen from a family near by.

-Saw Raging Bull (for the first time) at SIFF cinema. I loved it. The first movie over two hours where I didn’t wonder what time it was.

Sunday

-Waited in traffic to get to Husky Stadium.

-Almost missed my chip group to run for Beat the Bridge because of all that damn traffic.

-Made it just in time. Beat the bridge! And took lots of free apples and waters to congratulate myself on my very first race.

-My time was 40:50

-Went to University Street Art Fair. Bought my favorite bread, Killer Dave’s, at a fraction of the cost that PCC sells it for.

-Ate at Cedars. The mango lemonade was a perfect side to the lovely day we were having.

-Didn’t tip the waiter, because as I told the boyfriend, the owners, not the waiters, take the tips. We confirmed this with the waiter. Why they don’t say this on the menu is a mystery, but let it be known that this is how they operate.

-Took a nap.

-Knit at the Locks.

-Watched movies.

The end.

So what did you do?
