We dined at the Asteroid several times when it was across from Chinoise on 45th. Food was always great, but the prices were getting up there, and it was a bit tight on space.

The owner, I believe, started the restaurant while he was still playing bass in a local band. He works hard, does his homework and, imo, earns his premium. Have yet to try the new space, but have walked by it dozens of times, and it looks much more comfortable than the old one.

Even if there isn't a faux space rock crashing through the roof.
