Washington-grown asparagus hit the produce vendors at Pike Place Market. $2.99 a pound at Franks.

The biggest strawberries I’ve ever seen: 2 baskets for $5.

i think you just have freakishly small hands. no way a strawberry gets that big.
My hands fit a size small glove. I should line it up next to a common household item for size comparison. :)

Here at the Yakima Fruit Market in Bothell we have big berries also and we sell 1LB containers for $2.50, not the little 1/2pint cups. The 1/2 pints equall about 1/2 a pound. Also our grass is $1.99 instead of $2.99 and is farm direct. Although by tomorrow we will be on to the next lot so who knows what size they will run…Grass will be $1.99 for a while though…
^^^ a new lot of berries…..
Bothell is hard for me to get to without a car, but if you would happen to know if I could get some of those berries Downtown or on Capitol Hill….
Yes, local asparagus. No, no, no! giant strawberries! One must wait until the (teeny, tiny) local strawberries come in. So much more flavor!
