happy record store day

Today is Record Store Day. You know what to do. Bundle up, brave the weather, and show your friendly neighborhood record store some love. Heck! I bought a record on Wednesday and I don’t even have a record player. The world would be a lot more boring if we only shopped for music on the internet.

If buying new music to get you through the wet spring weekend isn’t incentive enough, the likes of Mark Pickerel, Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter, Speaker Speaker, the Pharmacy, the Dutchess and the Duke, John Roderick, the Interlake High School Jazz Band, Aqueduct, and the Moondoggies are pitching in with entertainment at places like Sonic Boom (yes, even the Capitol Hill store!), Easy Street, and Silver Platters.

(Check the thorough directory compiled by lineout for details.)
