Microsoft has a long history of creating entertainingly dumb sales motivation videos. They’re usually meant for internal use only, used as a sideshow during big meetings while they transition between speakers. Think of them as the Microsoft equivalent of those “Let’s All Go To The Lobby And Have Ourselves A Snack” videos they used to show during movie intermissions.

Sometimes, they’re clever and funny — see, for instance, the Bill-and-Steve-in-a-Volkswagen commercial. Sometimes, they’re just painful to watch.

Cue the widely distributed (and posted by Todd Bishop of the P-I) video featuring several Microsoft execs in a Bruce Springsteen parody. Sort of.

Yes, the video is real, but I can’t imagine that it was originally meant for anything other than some internal sales meeting.
