No time for a manicure? Bring the manicure to you!
On the Go Nails is a new mobile manicure/pedicure service. They offer manicures, pedicures, acrylics, fills, and nail art all at your location. Their price list is a touch high, but given that they will come directly to you, I don’t think they are outrageous. ($35 for a standard manicure, $50 for one with a paraffin dip and reflexology massage) They do have a $50 minimum to come to your location though, so if you’re just interested in a standard manicure, find someone else at your location to book a second manicure or you’ll need to go for the more expensive treatment.
They use products that are at least slightly more eco-friendly than your run of the mill nail polish (Spa Ritual for those who are curious).
I don’t honestly know what to think of this. On the one hand, I love the fact that I don’t have to drive somewhere for a manicure. On the other hand, someone else is driving, so it’s not like I’m saving the environment. I’m just eliminating some of the leisure time I would normally spend getting a manicure or pedicure. It’s like the cell phone commercial for the woman conducting a conference call while getting a pedicure. That commercial always bothered me because when I was a high powered executive (or at least a moderately powered overworked manager), I lived for those brief respites when I could walk into a nail salon, turn my phone off, and be pampered for an hour. On the other hand, there were plenty of weeks when I couldn’t carve that time away from the office, so I had to give up on any hope of pampering.

I can see this being a really cool idea for people who are homebound due to illness. I wonder if they have gift certificates. It might be a great pick-me-up for someone.
I didn’t even think of that. That’s a great idea. You can pay with a credit card over the phone, so I’m sure you probably could do a gift certificate type of thing.
did you just get this from dailycandy or is this some weird coincidence?

Their information was forwarded to me.
Crutch-bound Wesa, is that a hint? :)
