Speaking of Dave Matthews…
While researching the Dalai Lama’s visit and the Dave Matthews concert tonight, I stumbled across this list of Seattleites. I admit it, I’m easily starstruck- and since I only moved here from a smallish town in Illinois a year ago, where the only celebrity I ever spotted was John Malkovich at Ebertfest… well, you’ll just have to forgive me for being impressed by celebrity.
When I first moved here, a couple of friends mentioned that Dave Matthews hung out at Fuel in Wallingford. Granted, I’ve only been there once, but I sure never saw him, which was a pretty big disappointment… Still, someday I hope to catch a glimpse. And can I point out one more time that it’s fantastic to live in the same city as Jon Krakauer and Tom Robbins? It just makes me feel smarter.
Now I’m plotting the best way to catch a glimpse of the Dalai Lama or Desmond Tutu and wondering if anyone else has grand plans to see His Holiness (minus tickets or television feeds, of course)? And while I’m wondering about these things, anyone have any other favorite celebrity spotting locations?
