sunday: at rock lottery, everyone wins

It’s almost time for Seattle’s Rock Lottery, in which a whole bunch of musicians from local bands wake up early on a Sunday morning, toss their names into a hat, and walk out members of brand new bands. Twelve hours, inspired song-writing, and a crammed practice session later, they return to face their soon-to-be adoring fans with three to five songs. I

Take a peek at the lineup, and imagine the possibilities! A lot of these people are already in several other bands; some are solo acts? Will they get along or will sparks fly? It’s kind of like the sort of reality show you wish you could watch on basic cable, except real and happening for one night only (the 13th) at Neumo’s.

Here’s the list of this year’s participants (with two surprise spots not yet revealed); you’ll have to be there on Sunday to see how the mix and match turns out. Advance tickets run $10; show starts promptly at 10. [neumos]
