Tim Ellis is attempting humor. Be afraid.

Naked Loon
Tim Ellis from Seattle Bubble e-mailed the world that he’s going into the news parody business. Unfortunately, he emailed me this on April Fool’s Day. So I thought he was kidding.

But no, it turns out he’s launched The Naked Loon, an attempt at trying to be funnier than the Stranger (that’s easy nowadays), more informative than Metblogs (that’s really easy of late), and tweak the social and economic mores of the Puget Sound better than those port-drinking tweed-wearing highfalutin’ folks at Seattlest (complete and total biff).

Give it a read, then ask yourself why you need any other blog in your feedreader. Well, besides us.

Hah, I love it. An appropriate post, given the subject. Thanks for the link.

Meh, so it’s just a rip-off of "The Onion", with a local slant.

Or, an interwebs version of "Almost Live!"

What next? Headlines about clueless Ballard drivers? How much we love coffee? An in-depth examination of the "Seattle Freeze"?

They’re going to have to do a whole lot better than this, if they want to catch anyone’s attention for more than 30 seconds.

@comte aww, c’mon, any attempt to sparkle up the news with some humor is appreciated. it’s so dour and overly killjoy most of the time. so something a bit more light-hearted is good.
