Last Wall

Georgetown is a sad place right now, as the old Rainier building is coming down. This is the last of the Airport Way facing wall still standing.

I’ve seen the plans on what they plan to do down there and it doesn’t look half bad. Since it’s such an industrial area many of the developers are working with the businesses to keep the look and feel of the place while at the same time modernizing the buildings and getting more people down there. Georgetown is one of my favorite places in Seattle, but it definitely needs a some work. I can’t wait for the new plans for Georgetown brewing to come to fruition!

Oh man. I saw the destruction happen on the very first day. Everyone came outside, from drinking and eating, in the middle of the day to watch the horror.

    It’s truly sad. Tear. Tear.
