I second pickles and anything else that is sold at the UDistrict Farmer's market.

BTW I thought that most of the good stuff in our state is shipped overseas anyway? Just like all the good sushi gets flown to Vegas from Japan? :)

And for a great pickle recipe that's fast:
4 - 5 cukes peeled and sliced
1 or 2 cloves of garlic, chopped fine.
Few dill flowers.
Put into a large bowl.
Sprinkle 2 tsp salt.
Mix well.
Let stand 2 hours (do not drainl)
Mix 1 cup sugar, 1 1/2 cups vinegar 1/2 cup water.
Pour over cukes. Pack in jar.
Refrigerate.

In addition to making your own (which are yummy and actually pretty easy), Woodring's at the University District Farmers Market makes GREAT pickles. They come in spicy and mild varieties and they are some of the crispest and yummiest pickles I've ever had.
