That's an idea I haven't heard before but makes perfect sense. I'm going to try basil once we get the big grow light working. I started the dill and basil in eggshells on the kitchen counter. I bought a thyme plant a few weeks ago and so far it's doing rather well on my patio. Soon I'll also try tomatoes and peppers again.
