Everybody’s Working for the Weekend

I know it’s only Tuesday, but I’ve already started thinking about the upcoming weekend and trying to figure out what I should do for fun (besides going to the Seattle Thunderbirds game on Sunday).  There are a ton of events going on this weekend - a couple that I’m considering include:

  • The Group Health Seattle International Bicycle Expo takes place on March 8 and 9 at Cruise Terminal 30 in Seattle.   This event presents a number of presentations on cycles and cycling , the Classic Bike Show, the Fat Tire Bike Show, and free bike fits by trained Group Health staffers, and much more.  Tickets are $8 at the door (members of Cascade Bicyc le club get a discount) ; admission is free for anyone 15 and under.
  • The Seattle Kennel Club All-Breed show is at Qwest Field Events Center Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 7.  Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and kids 4 - 14 and free for those 3 and under.   In addition to competitions for conformation, obedience, rally and agility trials, the event hosts breed information booths, special seminars on all sorts of dog-related issues and a ton of vendors selling nifty dog-related items.   Fun for anyone who likes dogs.
  • The Seattle Dollhouse Miniature Show takes place this weekend at Seattle Center’s Northwest Rooms.  I don’t really have the sort of patience it takes to get into a hobby like doll houses and scale miniatures, but I am fascinated by both and the tremendous amount of careful workmanship it takes to turn out these tiny little treasures.

That’s all fairly exciting. I’m going to a wake this weekend. I hope I get over the flu by then :D

You’ve got a broken tag in the first part of this post, btw.
