It was more that we researched the temperpedic more after your post and learnt about a whole host of health issues peope have experienced over the years with the tempurpedic (including some weird disease called Hashimoto’s Syndrome. We’re planning to head to Soaring Heart tomorrow night, so I’ll let you know what we find.

Wow Kimberly, thank you for the awesome comment! I would recommend checking out Soaring Heart before canceling your order, just to see if it would be an option. The mattress sets are different and do require a bit of maintenance (such as flipping the mattress every month or so), so it may be that you would prefer the Tempur-Pedic. I just wanted to disclose that. Otherwise, I am really glad to have helped someone see another option available. :)

I have to say a resounding thank you for this piece. I purchased a tempur-pedic mattress set this weekend because I loved the one my mother has (haven’t heard anything negative about it from her, and she’s had if for two years, but lives abroad, not that it makes a difference). After reading some message board complaints about the off-gassing, I’m ready to cancel my order and check out Area 51 and Soaring Heart above.
