Attention East Side Lunch Crowd!

Get yourself down to 1100 112th Ave NE in Bellevue today between 11 am and 2:30 pm for my favorite Airstream - Skillet. That’s right! The popular west side mobile eatery, oft plagued by bad luck and some health department jumping hoops is now all legal and back in business. They have a pretty regular schedule on the west side, including SODO, SOLU, and Ballard. Today only they’re over on the east side scouting potential locations.

I’m headed over now for possibly the best burger I’ve ever had with bacon jam and a side of poutine. Mmmm, bacon.

Who says "Westside" but lame MSFT employees?

You sound super-corny when you write that and you should stop.

Good thing you left right at 11:00.
By 11:30, they were telling people it would be 45 min just to order. And by 12:00 they were out of fries.

I hung around for a little while, but 1:30 to get food from Skillet seems ridiculous.

I’ve gotten breakfast stuff from them before when they were just starting up and it was delicious.
This time it was a total shit show.
Did they not expect alot of people to show up between 11:30 and 12:30?

I don’t know if they need better logistics, a simpler menu or if they were taking big orders from people that backed things up, but this was bad.

    Frank,

That is pretty bad. I know that the first time Skillet showed up in SODO, near the Starbucks building, they also ran out of food as a huge mass of people descended on them.

Not that this excuses that, but one of the Skillet people today was saying that this Bellevue location was a test to see if there was enough business to sustain a storefront here. Obviously there was. Hopefully Skillet will figure out these kinks soon.
