Weekend Movie Agenda, Part One: SFSFF

Fans of science fiction and/or short films might want to head down to the Cinerama this Saturday. SIFF and EMP/SFM have joined forces to present the third annual Science Fiction Short Film Festival, bringing together film industry and sci fi professionals to showcase new works in sci fi film. The complete line up includes films with titles like Adam, Vampire; Alpha Worm; The Apparatus; Avant Petalos Grillados; Escape! From Robot Island; Forecast; Four Corners; Graw; I Was a Creature From Outer Space!; Monster Job Hunter; The Mourner; Not 2b Toyed With; Operation: Fish; The Nothing Pill; What Love Remains, and more. Ten films will be shown in each two hour session (4 – 6 pm, 7 – 9 pm) during which a panel of experts will be judging each film’s quality. Festival winners will be named in an awards ceremony that follows the second session. Films in the festival cover topics like vampires, lucid dreaming, aliens, robots, time travel and the dastardly kidnapping of a goldfish.
