Construction begins on H&M

Apparently UVillage is wasting no time getting started on its part of the 3 new H&M stores headed for Seattle. This pic partly answers the question of where exactly it’s going to go: apparently they’re taking out the parking lot in front of Anthropologie.

That could just be the staging area…but there’s really nowhere else for it to go.

Yeah, I was trying to figure out if they might build on top of Anthropologie (seems unlikely) or if they will be filling in the parking lot next to it. There’s definitely a precedent for building right up to 25th Ave (see what they’ve done just south, with the parking going on the roof right next to 25th). Wonder what the eventual gap will be between the two stores, and if it will be pedestrian-only or a pseudo street, like there is between Blue C and Tommy Bahama’s…

It’s about time! Seattle is long overdue for an H&M.

Apparently H&M is moving into the old A&F site.

Wow, I was in UV a couple weeks ago and didn’t even realize Abercrombie had moved out. Time to sell the stock if they can’t make it in that location!!
