development in the harps murder case

The Seattle Times is reporting that the “person of interest” from the Shannon Harps murder investigation has been in the custody of the Seattle police since 4 January. At that time, he was picked up for violating parole and has not yet been charged in the murder case. At this point, it’s not clear whether he is the bearded, capped, scruffy guy in the police sketch that was widely circulated. [times]

update: there’s a much longer article out this morning that includes a lot more details on the unnamed man’s criminal past. [ P-I ]
