friday agenda: mcleodaversary, more crocodile unscrewing
It’s been nearly a month since the Crocodile abruptly closed and with no word from reclusive owner Stephanie Dorgan and no new rumors about re-opening, things are still looking pretty grim. But while you hold your Crocodile memories close, don’t forget about all of the ousted employees. Tonight, there’s another “unscrew the croc employees” event at featuring Coconut Coolouts, The Intelligence, The Girls, and Das Llamas. (The glow in the dark poster for the show [tig] made by Seattle Show Posters are gorgeous, too. Buy one!). 8 pm, $6 [chopsuey]
It’s been almost exactly a year since the McLeods opened their doors and showed Seattle a vision for “extraordinary living”. Along the way, there’s been some fantastic art, hilarious photobooth snapshots, plenty of fawning by the press, a room full of plush squid, and a whole lot of good times. This means that it’s membership renewal and birthday celebration time: ring in the beginning of the gallery’s second year with a whole new series of exhibits by Maggie Orth, Ingrid Schultz. and Cynthia Orton (who will perform musical accompaniment for her visual quilt project, Apple Sucking Tree, at 8 pm). free, 6pm - midnight [mcleodresidence]

Hi, and thanks!
I still have a few of those posters available. Eleven of them sold on Friday!
