at least someone likes the streetcar

… and that someone is Nicole Broduer, who praises it because: (1) it makes the city look like a slower version of the Jetsons nearly fifty-year-old vision of the future, (2) it is more fun than hand-wringing over other transit decisions, (3) it saves people from waiting for a bus on wheels or walking a mile, and (4) it represents, by the narrowest of definitions, “progress” in that it was planned, started, and finished. Yeah, any look at Nicole Brodeur IRL will tell you that she probably hasn’t walked a mile total in her entire life. There are transients with more relevant civic opinions than her’s.

That makes one for yay and a lot of others for nay.
