Every year around “the Holidays”, SIFF holds a fundraiser poster auction. You probably thought that you missed it, since it was originally scheduled to happen during this month’s little snowstorm. Alas, those downy flakes that kept you close to home also resulted in the poster auction being rescheduled. Your $25 will get you in the door for the opportunity to bid on a bunch of “rare, collectible, and classic movie posters” as well as fancy trips overseas. Even if you don’t walk away with a framable gift for the ephemera-loving cinephile on your list, the admission fee covers champagne, hors d’oeuvres, and a screening of Three Godfathers (the John Wayne christmas western, not the three Francis Ford Coppola films).

If you can’t make it, or would prefer to give experiences rather than things, now would be a great time to purchase a membership to one of our fine local film organizations like SIFF or the Northwest Film Forum.
