suggestion: retire the s.l.u.t. meme before it crushes us all

The South Lake Union Streetcar opens for business tomorrow. You can ride its bicycle-terrorizing rails for the month of December for free all the while wearing your S.L.U.T. t-shirt and listening to the new S.L.U.T. song. After that, though, can we to let this little fake acronym humor dissolve quietly into the annals of 2007 history before it becomes even more overplayed and completely eclipses the memory of when it was a fresh and funny and new discovery?

heh. Just a gentle suggestion, and I’m even willing to let it go for the rest of the year. But after that it will be like how “the Internets” went from being funny to sad at approximately the same moment that the president said it unironically.

No. SLU and the city must be karmically punished for thoughtless making such an easily exploitable acronym.

You should lobby them to can call it something else if you want TEH MADNESS to stop.
