Pearl Harbor Day
Today is Pearl Harbor Day, in case you didn’t know or remember, a day to commemorate “a day that will live in infamy”: December 7, 1941, the day forces of the Empire of Japan attacked US military targets in the Pacific, most notably Pearl Harbor, HI.
The more years pass, the fewer people around who were there that day. Today’s Kitsap Sun has a piece about that very topic, including a few words from a Pearl Harbor survivor who lives in Bremerton. [story] I thought it was an interesting piece and recommend checking it out.

Also known as “harass the hell out of Japanese immigrants” day. Another unfortunate side to the story.
